what leagal action can I take to get rid of my “mother in law”. my guy husband and I live like roomates.

by mind on fire

Question by conerned mom of a 8 year old: what leagal action can I take to get rid of my “mother in law”. my guy husband and I live like roomates.
My husband and I married in 1995 in China. Then we came to USA to study. the marriage has not been a good one, it turned out years later, he is guy. We decide we will live like roomates for the sake of our 7 year old son, and have an open marriage. until 2 month ago, his mother moved in with us with the understanding that she is going to help with our son because my husband is doing extensive traveling and he is rarely home, not mention help with our son. the mother in law can’t drive, can’t speak English. and she is getting very upset seeing my boy friend help me picking up my son to school. so She wants to ban my boy friend from entering the house, she refues to help with anything in the house. and of course, my guy husband is on her side, and saying that he has the right to have her mother staying in the house. we have been arguing every time we see each other and I want both of them out. I want to know my rights, does anyone know any good divorce lawyers?
Sorry, my husband is gay.
He is my first and only boy friend, then we married. He told me later that he knew he is gay when he is much younger. we did not even have sex prior to the marriage because the way we were brought up. I did not know.
since he told me about it, we decided to have an open marriage, and share joint coustoday. I only have one boy friend all these years, and he is great with my son. I am thinking about divorce process, and hoping to resolve it between us without costly legal fees. however, because the mother in law moves in, and she knows that he is gay, and he is almost never home. it seems that we have to seek legal process.
we have alway had separate banks accounts, and why should I move out? it is my house, I paid half for it, plus, my son needs to go to school there, if anyone, shouldn’t my husband move out with his mother? Am I missing some important legal issue here?

i’m a little confused. did you think your husband was a woman? ok. the good news is, you can just leave…leave her alone in the house. whatever. pick a day. move everything into storage and move into an apt. if necessary.

i don’t think it is a good environment for your son for you to have a bf.

How fast can a personal injury claim against an insurance company take?

by Shiny Things

Question by estradaer: How fast can a personal injury claim against an insurance company take?
I’ll try and keep this simple. I had two “friends” jump on my back while I was asleep. They broke my neck and I was in the hospital for 2 months and had neck surgery. Some nurses thought I was going to die when I was brought in to the ER. I am learning to walk all over again and will not be back at work for a long time. This is a life changing injury although my surgeon expects a 100 percent recovery.

Now I have a lawyer who is going after the homeowners policies of both parties for the full amount of personal injury liability. He thinks he may get some “cash” in 3-4 months. Both parties are cooperating and admit they were at fault.

How long can something like this really take and can I expect the full amount possible in this case. For example one party has 300,000 coverage for personal injury. Should I expect all of that? My lawyer is old school and wont accept the first number he hears and he has a private investigator getting statements and following up on things.

Really want to have an idea of how much waiting and how much money a situation like this will turn out.

It can take forever depending on the insurance company.

We have one going right now..and we have been waiting 3 years!!

You may need a lawyer!
