Andrew Thomas shows lack of Law Knowledge

www.dmcantor.com Its no secret that David M Cantor, a Phoenix DUI Lawyer, has issue with how Andrew Thomas conducted himself as Maricopa County Attorney. We have posted a few videos regarding this. Today David talks about Thomas’ response to the “legitimacy of the State Bar of Arizona’s case to have him disbarred”. Thomas is arguing that “the state Bar’s independent investigator, John Gleason” is not qualified to handle the case since he is not licensed to practice law in Arizona. He also argues that the Supreme Court’s probable-cause panelist, former Chief Justice Charles Jones, went beyond his authority by recommending that Thomas be disbarred. If you have watched our Blog before you may have seen our video on Pro Hoc Vice. In that video David explains how Lawyers can practice law in any state whether they are licensed for that particular state or not. This is how OJ’s dream team was brought together. So it seems that Mr. Thomas is confused about how that part of the law works. His statement about Chief Justice Charles Jones going too far in his recommendation of disbarment for the former Maricopa County Attorney. So the body responsible for ruling on a lawyers disbarment cannot make the recommendation? That is another odd interpretation of Law Mr. Thomas. It will be interesting to see how this progresses now that Thomas has formally filed against the State Bar complaint. He is due back for hearings on April 14 along with his two former deputies, Lisa Aubuchon and

Today Gloria Allred once again shows her ugly face. she feels free to judge and execute Meg whittman?

Question by CARL G H: Today Gloria Allred once again shows her ugly face. she feels free to judge and execute Meg whittman?
based on her opinion of a single document. She expected Mrs. Whitmans husband to remember looking at a letter almost ten years ago he handed to his house keeper to “check out and get corrected” She was an illegal alien who forged documents and was sent to them from a legitimate (supposedly) employment agency. the problem was caused by the agency error not the Whitmans. should Gloria be made to stop using her legal lawyer reputation for smear campaigns as she has done twice?
Paulina in our nation your innocent till proven guilty and the paper only states there was a discrepancy in information. unlike many out there I know mistakes can happen with ssi numbers and info as a family member of mine had it happen to them (typo issue) caused by an employer’s secretary. Also I’f you realize Meg wasn’t running for an office, she was easily able to afford any house keeper and paid this woman more per hour than most of us make, used a well known hiring firm (trusted) it is logical than her husband would not see it as more than a problem she (the housekeeper) should get fixed hens the note on the paper! also to her credit she fired the housekeeper when she was told the truth even though she had been there a long time and still wasn’t running at that time! of course she could have called ice and had her arrested and deported right then and there for fraud.
also people Gloria was interviewed on LA radio and didn’t like the house keeper being referred to as an Illegal alien she wanted undocumented worker but she was documented! she was Illegally documented, fake ssi fake drivers license etc. Gloria stated she was from this planet so alien was incorrect. I don’t buy a bit of the story sh’s spouting.

Answer by Paulina Paulino
Carl, sorry, The document proves that she knowingly hired an Illegal and (in my opinion) did it because she could deny her pay and treat her like crap.

Why are you blaming the lawyer for Wittman’s screw up?
BTW, showing evidence is not “judging and executing”, but, just that. Showing Evidence.

Additional Details
You say: “in our nation your innocent till proven guilty”
I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THIS, BUT YOU SEEM TO DO, BECAUSE YOU ARE CONVICTING THE WOMAN’S ATTORNEY FOR MAKING AN ACCUSATION.

SHE DID NOT SAY HER HUSBAND DID NOT REMEMBER GETTING THE LETTER, INSTEAD, SHE SAID THE HOUSEKEEPER GOT ALL THE MAIL AND PROBABLY THREW IT AWAY.

BUT, IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW LOUDLY I SCREAM FACTS AT YOU. YOU APPARENTLY HAVE MADE UP YOUR MIND AND LIKE A RELIGIOUS PERSON, FACTS GET IN THE WAY OF YOUR CONCLUSION.

NY Medical Malpractice Lawyer Welcomes New Report That Shows Healthcare Negligence Lawsuits Help Improve Patient Care

Steven J. Schwartzapfel

New York, NY (PRWEB) October 1, 2010

While some medical professionals blame malpractice lawsuits for driving up health care costs, a New York lawyer points to a Wall Street Journal report this week that shows how those cases prevent costly future mistakes.

Medical malpractice lawyer Steven J. Schwartzapfel, an attorney with the New York law firm of Schwartzapfel Partners, says a story in the Sept. 27 issue of the Wall Street Journal shows how doctors are learning better health care practices by studying errors described in malpractice cases.

“Doctors are highly trained experts, but even they can learn from their mistakes,” Schwartzapfel says. “This story makes it clear that evidence developed in medical malpractice cases can contribute to the improvement of modern medicine and the protection of patients. That ultimately saves lives and cuts down on skyrocketing health care costs.”

The WSJ story, headlined “What the doctor missed,” describes how various doctors and hospitals have improved procedures and added safeguards after studying medical malpractice cases.

“By analyzing the breakdowns in care that led to missed, delayed or incorrect diagnoses, insurers and health-care providers are developing programs to avert mistakes, ” the news article says.

Robert Hanscom, vice president of loss prevention and patient safety for Crico/RMF, a malpractice insurer that covers Harvard University-affiliated hospitals and doctors, is quoted in the story. He says malpractice claims “are reflective of deeply rooted problems that are much more widespread in health care.”

One pattern among medical malpractice cases is that many arise from a hasty or failed diagnosis. That has prompted hospitals to make sure each patient’s complaint is fully explored. More attention to thoroughness will benefit patients before their situations become serious, Schwartzapfel says.

Gordon Schiff, associate director of patient-safety research at Brigham and Women’s, says in the story, “These errors may be less visible and dramatic than getting the wrong leg cut off, but a delay in diagnosis can adversely affect a patient’s long-term outcome.”

Schiff adds that malpractice cases “let us drill down and learn deeper lessons, like what could have been done differently.”

Another lesson from malpractice cases, the story reports, is that doctors need to listen better to their patients, and patients need to follow up on their own behalf.

Hardeep Singh, chief of the health quality and policy program at the Houston VA research center, says in the story that information needs to be spread to all doctors involved and patients should be encouraged to ask questions.

“Patients may think that if something was wrong, my doctor would have told me,” says Dr. Singh. “But no news is not necessarily good news, and patients need to be empowered to follow up on their lab results and participate more actively in their care.”

Says Schwartzapfel, “This story illustrates the very real role that legal action plays in helping to improve the medical care provided by our nation’s doctors and hospitals.”
