I would like to file a complain against a university based in California but without involving lawyers.?

Question by Gina: I would like to file a complain against a university based in California but without involving lawyers.?
I was given false information by the representatives based in California and India. I trusted them to guide me in how to apply for Fall 2011 and for visa. Due to their mistake the I-20 arrived late due to which I was unable to take the visa date on time. I was assured that an extension letter would be provided to me that would delay my entry in the USA by a week. Once I got the visa date I was assured that there won’t be a problem but a couple of days later they informed that I would have to differ my admission to Summer 2011. They laugh whenever I try to call them and they fail to take down my complain. When I ask what is the complains procedure they ask to contact an immigration lawyer or a lawyer in CA. They hang up on me whenever I try to contact them. Even if I give a false name to speak to the person incharge they know who is on the line. Their attitude is not professional and it seems that they must pulled this stunt on someone else as well hence they have the “I CARE A DAMN” attitude. All I want is to lodge a complaint at the university with someone other than the person who the complain is against. They refuse to entertain my request and refuse to give any information. Someone please help me because I don’t want some other student to go through what I have gone through. It is insulting and just not right.

Call the BBA

Also you could contact their board members and let them know what’s going on. Many people are investing a lot of money in that college. They may help you.

3rd you could contact your local newspapers. This is a good way to get their attention and let them know you are serious.

Last… you may need a lawyer… if nothing else works.

Award Winning Immigration Lawyers at Paragon Law Open London Office

Award Winning Immigration Lawyers at Paragon Law Open London Office

Thalej Vasishta Discusses UK immigration Policy

(PRWeb UK) January 10, 2011

Paragon Law, a rapidly growing UK-based legal firm specializing in immigration laws, has opened a new office in Jermyn Street, London. The firm’s immigration lawyers and solicitors now offer a broad range of immigration services in four offices worldwide — London; Nottingham; Shanghai, China; and Ludhiana, India.

Thalej Vasishta, Managing Director and Senior Solicitor at Paragon Law said “2010 has been a very good year for Paragon Law. We were instructed to act by two of the UK’s largest employers who between them employ 36,000 people in the UK in order to set up systems and procedures to ensure that both of these companies remained compliant in employing foreign migrants. We were also instructed to act by Changan Automobile which is the second largest car manufacturer in China in respect of their inward investment project to set up a UK Subsidiary and transfer their key senior management to the UK to progress the UK operations”.

Mr Vasishta went on to say that in 2010 the UK saw many changes to immigration laws and policies, with a lot more changes coming in 2011. He said “there are many positives that have come out of the recent consultation that the UK Government carried out in respect of introducing a cap to the number of non-European nationals who are allowed to come to the UK for employment. In particular the Government has listened to UK PLC and in fact will be increasing the number of certificates that will be allocated to businesses by 8,000 in April 2011 in comparison to the number that was issued for the same period in the previous year”.

There were also positive announcements by the Government to encourage inward investment to the UK and Mr Vasishta said “it can only benefit the UK to encourage overseas entrepreneurs, businesses and investors to choose the UK as the place to commence their European operations”.

In this regard, opening a London office was a natural progression for Paragon Law. Mr Vasishta said “when visiting our offices in India and China and meeting with local business people there, it is apparent that London is still the preferred choice of destination for overseas investors and entrepreneurs when considering the UK”.

Paragon Law’s Shanghai office was retained as PR advisors to the London ZED Pavilion at the recent Shanghai Expo. Mr Vasishta said “Paragon Law were looking forward to continue to develop the relationships that had started at the Shanghai Expo with organisations such as UK Trade & Industry and Think London to not only promote London as a destination for business but to also advise businesses in the South East who were looking to trade, invest or find partners in emerging markets such as India and China, where Paragon Law are well established”.

The firm’s head office is based in Nottingham and in addition Paragon Law also have offices in Shanghai (China) and Ludhiana (India). The new Jermyn Street, London offices will be headed up by Solicitor Kelvin Tanner who has previously spent four years at the firm’s head office. Mr Tanner said “I am very excited about the potential that Paragon Law has in London, we come as a firm which has established a national reputation in immigration law advice and I look forward to extending our specialist services to the people and businesses of the London region”.

Founded in 2003, Paragon Law has a global staff of over 55 and has been recognised nationally by its peers as the Legal Team of the Year and the Best Legal Practice for Promoting Diversity amongst its staff. Mr Vasishta has been awarded Solicitor of the Year on three occasions by the Nottinghamshire Law Society; the firm was awarded Business of the Year sponsored by Business Link in 2009 in the same year that Mr Vasishta was a finalist in the same awards for Young Businessperson of the

Year.

Paragon Law is recognised as a leading immigration law practice by legal directories such as the Legal 500 and the Chambers and Partners Directory describes Paragon Law as an “Immigration Law Powerhouse”.

Detroit, MI (PRWEB) June 14, 2006

Steven M. Gursten of Michigan Auto Law was a featured speaker and panel expert for the seminar entitled “Kreiner Year Two: Fighting Back” for the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association (MTLA).

The forum was primarily offered to help Michigan attorneys assist victims of Michigan car or truck accidents, and to help other Michigan personal injury lawyers better understand the current law and its requirements.
