Rochester New York Attorney Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers

Rochester New York Attorney Admitted to American College of Trial Lawyers

Rochester, NY (PRWEB) January 25, 2006

Stephen G. Schwarz, a partner in the firm of Faraci Lange, LLP of Rochester, NY has become a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the premier legal associations in America.

The induction ceremony at which Mr. Schwarz became a Fellow took place recently before an audience of 1,020 persons during the recent 2005 Annual Meeting of the College in Chicago, Illinois.

Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.

Lawyers must have a minimum of fifteen years trial experience before they can be considered for Fellowship. Membership in the College cannot exceed one per cent of the total lawyer population of any state or province. There are currently approximately 5,500 members in the United States and Canada, including active Fellows, Emeritus Fellows, Judicial Fellows (those who ascended to the bench after their induction) and Honorary Fellows.

The College strives to improve and elevate the standards of trial practice, the administration of justice and the ethics of the trial profession. Qualified lawyers are called to Fellowship in the College from all branches of trial practice. They are carefully selected from among those who customarily represent plaintiffs in civil cases and those who customarily represent defendants, those who prosecute accused of crime and those who defend them. The College is thus able to speak with a balanced voice on important issues affecting the legal profession and the administration of justice.

Mr. Schwarz is Managing Partner of the Rochester Firm, Faraci Lange, one of the leading personal injury firms in Western New York. He joins his partner Angelo Faraci, who was admitted to the College in 1975 as one of only 17 lawyers in Rochester who are Fellows in the College. The newly inducted Fellow is an alumna (alumnus) of Albany Law School and is a former President of the Rochester Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Q&A: Why do liberals make an issue of health care while supporting trial lawyers?

Question by slappyjk: Why do liberals make an issue of health care while supporting trial lawyers?
Fact- the USA is the only society in the world that does not require the loser to pay the winner their legal costs for the suit; therefore, frivolous lawsuits and “win the lottery” judgements are unique to the USA. Trial laywers force doctorts to perform needless operations and procedures, jack up insurance rates, force medical groups to move or shut down, but all we hear from liberals is that health care costs need to be socialized. WHY DO LIBERALS SUPPORT TRIAL LAWYRERS?

Best answer:

Answer by Saddam Hussein
They wanted free medical so if you destory the private medical with law suits, they can claim the private medical failed and that we needed socialized medicine.

Meanwhile the good Doctors will go to other countries to get a better pay, that is what used to happen here, but the economics of medicine has been so badly skewed with law suits the profitability here is lower. So as market theory dictates their will be a shift of the good doctors to higher paying countries.

I hope this helped.

We will no longer be able to get the cream of the crop because we will not be able to afford it. Look at the Canadian health care system it is an admitted failure.

Long Island Attorney Appointed to Trial Lawyer Academy’s Board of Directors

Long Island Attorney Appointed to Trial Lawyer Academy’s Board of Directors

East Meadow, NY (Vocus) July 7, 2010

The New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers has recently made a new addition to its Board of Directors. The organization has appointed Neal Goldstein, an experienced and well respected personal injury attorney, to serve among the organization’s leaders.

Mr. Goldstein, a partner at the Goldstein and Bashner firm, has represented accident victims across the New York and Long Island areas for over 20 years. As Mr. Goldstein joins the New York Academy of Trial Lawyers, he will become a member of an organization that is deeply devoted to protecting and strengthening our civil justice system. In order to do so, the organization relies on a diverse membership, with members ranging from attorneys and paralegals, to tenured law professors. Mr. Goldstein helps to bring the organization an important presence. Michelle Stern, the Executive Director of the organization, states “The Academy is thrilled to welcome Neal Goldstein to its Board of Directors. Mr. Goldstein has been an actively involved member and will bring his expertise and insight to this new leadership role. I look forward to working with him.”

Mr. Goldstein’s East Meadow based firm’s practice areas include car accidents, hazardous work conditions, and premise liability. In response to being invited to join the Board of Directors, Mr. Goldstein stated, “it was an honor,” and added, “I normally don’t get involved in legal organizations passed the member level, however, I felt that that this was a unique opportunity to have an integral role in an organization that truly is helping to rebuild the image of our profession.” Mr. Goldstein further praised the academy’s public outreach, adding that “at a time when insurance companies continue in their attempt to erode the rights of individuals, it is important for the public to know fact from fiction. The academy effectively helps people to do so.” Mr. Goldstein looks forward to helping to strengthen the organization and has already begun to recruit fellow legal professionals to join.
